STOLEN from Aust, Bristol approx June 2007 a red (top) and white (bottom) fibreglass Czech Vertex Canadian Canoe. It has rather more of a deck than traditional open canoes and is fitted to take a spray cover with a black finished gunwale. There are two metal thwarts, slightly arched and with a grey ribbed plastic covering. There are two wooden slatted seats and a wooden slatted floor which fixes into the midline. There could be remnants of the Canadian Canoe Association of GB triangular stickers either side of the bow deck. There is a slightly untidy repair to the bow keel with clear fibreglass. I am listing it now, as at the time I was more concerned about my heart surgery! Now that is successfully sorted, I need to get back on the water and in the vain hope of this ever surfacing I thought I would list it with you. If anybody has bought it in good faith, has seen it, or wishes to return it I would be pleased to hear from you. It was a wedding present from my parents-in-law in 1970 and has some sentimental value notwithstanding its age. It may have been thought to have been abandoned at a barn site. R Paul Evans

STOLEN - On Wednesday the 7th September 2005 two kayaks were stolen from the top of my car on my driveway. They were strapped on and also locked onto the roofbars. It looks as if the theft was preplanned. I thought I would e-mail as many people as I can to alert them to the theft in the hope that the people who took them will either be spotted trying to sell them or will be spotted paddling them. It might be a long shot but it’s worth a try! The two boats were: Pyranha S6 Bright green Dagger Super Ego Blue and white (sort of swirled / marbled together; hope you know what I mean) If you can offer any help then I would very much appreciate it. I am prepared to offer a financial reward for information leading to the successful return of the boats and / or finding the culprits. I am based in Maidenhead, although of course that’s no guarantee that they won’t turn up somewhere else in the country. Thanks in advance for any help that you can offer. Steve Harwood

I am trying to get in contact with an old friend, Mr Trevor Martin who, amongst other things, I believe may be a part time Canoe Instructor from the Tavistock Area.
He moved down with his wife daughter & young son and took up a position as a Social Worker in the local area.
I have lost contact with him when he moved down from Littleton, Near Winchester, Hants.
I originally know him from Reigate, Surrey, although he also lived at Rowlands Castle, Hants.
