Held on the 15th October, 2000 on the River Barle
Mild weather and low to medium water levels greeted an excellent entry of 83 paddlers for the annual memorial race and tour. The event, which helps to raise funds for the Pete Collins Activities Trust, is run by the Wellington Kayak Club. The race is always competitive and is restricted to general purpose kayaks. Thanks to Graham Brister-Thorne for his work in organising the event and Bernard and Barbara Collins for their continued support for what has become a major regional event.
